CFR --- NOT the Code of Federal Regulations

Posted on 02/13/2011 6:42:47 AM PST by Tahoe3002

I have long known about the existence of the CFR - Council on Foreign Relations. In some recent readings, there was a listing of many past and current members: politicians of both parties, non-elected government officials, military, etc.

The light for me went off when I saw WJ Clinton and GHW Bush as members. Which, for me, explained their collegial relations during the Haiti fund raisings, etc. The CFR is also one of the long term proponents of the New World Order, i.e., elites over the non-elites, I guess. Again for me, it means we really don't get "two party" government if all these folks are cut from the same cloth. Some examples: Condi Rice, Nixon, Colin Powell, D. Eisenhower, J. Carter, Al Gore. et al.

Any comments or recommended readings? Thanks in advance for your recommendations and Thanks for reading.

You say it is like some big secret. It is just a think tank that practically everyone in DC is a member of. Heck, even some businesses who do international business have group memberships for their employees. If you want the scoop, just to go their own websites and on-line library and read their own documents. They are in the business of researching and helping politicians create position papers. For example, If XX congressman is working up a trade deal with Japan over widgets, he brings this proposal to the CFR to research ramifications. They will analyze the supply line, international relation impacts, etc, and provide a paper of what they foresee the impact of this deal would be.

Obviously I would avoid Internet conspiracy sites. I know we have some freepers who are members who can give you a more realistic view versus all the nutty stuff that pops up around them.

Thanks for sharing your ideas. I see George Soros is a member. I had not really read much on the CFR, but I find this enlightening: The CFR emerged in the aftermath of U.S. Senate’s rejection of our nation’s membership in the League of Nations. Officially in business as of 1921, the organization’s Foreign Affairs journal immediately called for the creation of a world government and an end to U.S. sovereignty. The group’s primary founder was President Woodrow Wilson’s top aide, Edward Mandell House, the author of a book in which he admitted he was working for “Socialism as dreamed of by Karl Marx.”

Ahem, we prefer not to discuss the CFR in an open forum like this. It should be clear that the CFR is only interested in the betterment of the human condition and that discussing our strategies to achieve that goal works against us. Ahem.

What "light goes off" for you when you learn that Dick Cheney and Don Rumsfeld are members as well?

There may be things to worry about in this world, the Council on Foreign Relations isn't one of them.

Almost literally, anyone who is someone eventually gets an invitation to the Council.

I have read loads of history over the years, but is mainly early American and military history. Not so much the political history that got us into the wars.

Yeah, the “light goes off” reading about the Rothschilds, Central Banks and international banking.
