This should be a wakeup call to our own Fedzilla (Congress and the rest of the federal government in Washington, D.C.) that the American people are also sick and tired of our own version of an oppressive government as evidenced by the American Tea Party movement.
Don't be so freaking naive.
Put down the beer and turn off The View.
It’s not a tea party, it’s the Muslim Brotherhood.
This will not end well.
You’re pretty out of it.
What you are saying, it IS the people who have the power, and I do believe you mean peacefully as the Tea Party has been, and we are winning.
You are hopelessly naive if you think that Egypt will become a free and democratic state. This is just the beginning of a total Islamo-Marxist Middle East that will soon turn its attention to Europe. And this time there will be no Charles Martel to come to the rescue.
Seems that this is going perfectly. Mubarak was a self serving corrupt dictator that created a boiling cauldron of anger by his people. This is venting the anger peacefully. The other option was total anarchy with unarmed people being shot, often with American weapons. That has a way of pxssing people off.
The Egyptian military is pro USA and they are going to keep a lid on this, and create a smooth transition. The people will elect whomever they deem will serve their interest in a Constitutionally guided nation. Should we give them a list of approved candidates? That would go over really good here.
If we are smart we will keep our nose out. What we need are more nations that are behind us, instead just their paid goon dictators.
BTW Iran is always opening their mouth. I don’t pay much attention.
Why should we care? Let them work things out. This is the only way these people will ever find their way forward. We have more to gain from instability in the Middle East than not. Iran thinks that Egypt falling gives them more power. Egypt falling gives the people of the Middle East more power. It shows that even a mild dictator like Mubarak can fall in what were relatively peaceful protests. More people have died of violent crime in a handful of our larger cities than have died during these protests.
Chaos in the Middle East is good. It will strengthen domestic energy. It also for a temporary period give us an economic hit but that will just mean that our out of control govt entitlements and debt will come due a bit sooner and there is no better time than now. Going into 2012 this is a very good thing for us and for the reclaiming of America. The left should see this. If they don’t they are stupid. This is a game changer and a very good one for the US because our interests should not be in the Middle East to begin with except to protect our one true ally which is Israel. Fear of the Muslim brotherhood is over rated. They are not a dominant force in Egypt and if they were powerful enough to rule they would’ve a long time ago. I’m sure they will try to gain power and they will be a part of the govt but even in our country we have outright socialist scum elected to office. As long as we have the weapons to keep them out of Israel and off our shores then I don’t really care. Let the Egyptians determine their future it is better than one man who got rich off their & our backs to the tune of 70 billion dollars.
It is time to think different. Reclaiming America is also about getting our focus on what our interests really should be.
Although you and I joined the FReep at about the same time, I respectfully refuse to accept the notion that a bunch of wild-eyed Egyptians who almost universally are devoted to the precepts of sharia law, and who desire the annihilation of Israel are to be in any way compared to the rational and Constitution-loving people in the spontaneous tea party movement.
“What we need are more nations that are behind us, instead just their paid goon dictators”
Your post doesn’t make sense. On one hand you call Mubarak a dictator and think his ouster is good. Yet, you ignore the new dictator in power now, the military. But since the military is USA friendly, that’s ok with you.
So one dictator is replaced with another dictator system.
Your post doesn’t make sense.
“”Time will tell. You wait. An Islamic sharia government may be in the offing.
It worked out so well for the Iranians, didnt it? /sarc””
I agree that Sharia law is a concern.
In Iran we set the Shah up (another Mubarak) when the CIA overthrew their democratic government in the 50s. They spent 30 years getting angry at us because the Shah used US money to stomp on his people. That’s why they were pxssed at us in 79. We need allies where the nations (people)_ are our ally and not just the hatchet men we hire.
As long as we have entangling alliances of corp and non US interests driving our policies for themselves, instead of the USA as a nation, this will continue.
Hmmm... they don’t seem to overthrow radical islamic fascist states. The U.S. media does not support those “revolutions” or “protests”. Hmmm...
This Egyptian overthrow was wholeheartedly supported by the U.S. media.
Egyptian Tea Party? BUNK!!!
This is fundamentalist muslim sharia hegemony on the march. Iran’s hand prints are all over this.
“””But since the military is USA friendly, thats ok with you.

LOL. Lots of my posts don’t make sense. If I didn’t say it I meant to say the Egyptian military has served the referee function well so far, and will hopefully continue to serve it during the transition and elections. There can be a military coup and that would change everything.
What is most apparent is that Israel is now without question threatened. If you truly believe that we should protect Israel, then this is very bad. You state that "fear of the Muslim Brotherhood" is over rated". And you know this how? Besides, it isn't just the MB in its present form that we have to fear. It's very likely that Iran will now begin full infiltration of such groups...it is only a matter of time before a small organized group takes power. I guarantee you it will not be in our best interest when the Suez is shut down. Our allies depend on the Suez and if it closes we pay a price also.
“and will hopefully continue”
How do do know what’s to come in Egypt?
“Hopefully Continue” is NOT a foreign policy.

Now if you really want to learn about the Muslim Brotherhood check this out. You might be surprised as was I. I have found this to be one of the best resources on the internet.
Muslim radicals will quickly fill the vacuum in Egypt.
Radical Islamist won't be so nice nice to the protesters.
Buckle your seat belt, it's gonna be a bumpy night!!!!
Great job posting an idiotic thread and then disappearing.
What an asshole you are.
Don’t post while high.
Yep, looks like its going really well. Already clamping down.
In a later interview, another opposition leader said that he expected “martial law to be announced soon” by the military. “We will see,” he continued.
Egyptian Opposition Leader Mohamed ElBaradei stated today on Al Jazeera that Egyptians must wait at least “one year” for elections.
