Summit Entertainment has moved back the release of director Jodie Foster's The Beaver from March 23 to May 6. The dramedy will receive a limited release on that date before expanding wide on May 20.
The Beaver is an emotional story about a man on a journey to re-discover his family and re-start his life.
Plagued by his own demons, Walter Black (Mel Gibson) was once a successful toy executive and family man who now suffers from depression. No matter what he tries, Walter can't seem to get himself back on track... until a beaver hand puppet enters his life.
Foster, Anton Yelchin, Jennifer Lawrence and Cherry Jones co-star.

So you’re saying that only a select audience will be seeing Foster’s Beaver?

Sadly, Jodie Foster’s Beaver is dead.
I hear Wally has passed on, too.

I wonder if the Beaver will have a big opening or small opening at the box office?I know it is hard to read past the headline, but it looks like the beaver will have a very wide opening...

In all honesty, if Gibson appeared at my door asking for help, I would do whatever I could to get him back on track.
After all he’s been through, he’s still a fellow American.

If everyone beats up on Foster’s Beaver, does that make it a fetish film?
