She either peed, or became VERY happy she was singing.

When you're doing a pharmacy sized load of drugs before going out on stage and wailing like banshee for 45 minutes, "little things" like excretory functions take a back seat...
Sadly, if you had a stomach strong enough to do a search for such incidents with said "artist", you'd find a lot more similar photos.

I saw Ted Nugent in the late 70’s in Greenville, SC where your comment was a real concern and he was wearing a loin cloth——very gross. And I believe that Nugent was always known to not be a druggie or into alcohol.....

The only thing about a Super Bowl halftime show that concerns me is how long it lasts. In this case it afforded me plenty of time to run out for some frozen pizza, so I was well pleased.
A few years ago I got fed up with the number and length of commercials that NBC broadcast during NASCAR races.
I started checking tire pressures, fluid levels etc on our automobiles. I checked the fishing boat, cleaned the patio, the garage and other small jobs around the house. After the race I was amazed by what I had accomplished.
I continued to do this week after week with great results. There was only one problem, I was so exhausted 2/3s of the way though races I fell asleep and missed the end of several races.
Now I pace myself, still get tons of small jobs done and see the end of the races.
PS: Black Eyed Pees stunk as did the temporary seat construction.

Stadiums are meant for stadium bands. The BEP are good when they are playin in front of 200 in some club. When you have to fit the band into the show rather then the other way around you will get crap.
And crap we got.
Unfortunately all the great bands that can play stadiums are now in their 60’s. Ie the stones. You need a strong frontman.

The NFL’s effort to play to the younger urban crowd sucked big time. Why couldn’t they get a real music group? I can’t imagine that the typical football fan would want to hear any rap crap.

Have some mercy on dial-up users.
Try resizing massively large images. That one 2490x1660 pixels. 249x166 would probably have worked just as well.
FYI and FReepers will appreciate it.

Sorry...it was supposed to be “320 x something” when I found it but than *that* happened.
I won’t be offended at all if you have the mods remove it.

There has to be some other choice between this hip-hop crap and the geriatric sixties acts (McCartney, the Who) for a half time show.
Getting a little deeper in though - why does a sporting event require all this crapola anyway? Go back and watch the tape of a Super Bowl or the World Series or especially the Olympics from 30-40 years ago. The athletes just get down to business without the glitz overload, it's just so refreshing to watch.

You could ask the same of musical groups. Why does a musical group require 500 dancers to perform their numbers? In our society today, everything has to be bigger and more overblown than the last time. I won't be surprised if the group next year is flying in on man portable jet packs to start their first song. I think it's more a reflection of us than of the Black Eyed Peas. They are just playing to what a large majority of the audience wants. These singers today are not musicians, they are performers. There is a difference...

These singers today are not musicians, they are performers.A world in which the Blackeyed Peas, Justin Bieber, and Beyonce are "stars" and in which Neko Case, John Hiatt, Todd Snider and Lucinda Williams are scarcely known is not MY world.

Look at it this way, since the artists you like are not well known, you can see them at more intimate venues and the ticket prices are not outrageous. My wife a month ago wanted me to look into getting tickets to see Bon Jovi at Console Energy Center. The price of the tickets for the side view were $145 per ticket and you could actually watch from the rear of the stage for $45 per ticket. Who the heck would want to watch their backs all night??? We passed. On the other hand, I've seen Rory Block and Arlo Guthrie in small intimate settings for $20 - $30 a ticket.

It is a sign of no talent. I heard a stand up comic making fun of this circus. He said they load up the stage with people doing thing to distract from their lack of singing ability. Everyone watches the people doing cartwheels and the flashing lights, not the singing act. I tend to agree.
