I’ve attended a couple of events. Not my thing but it was interesting. Also it was legal at the time. I think people have just lost sight of reality. Too much P.C. even amongst conservatives.
Anyways, what I saw was not barbaric in any manner. Roosters fight to the death wherever there are two of them. At least spurs make it quicker.

You are so mistaken, Fant. Only the dominant rooster will breed the hens. The other/others will give him a lot of room and challenge then run when he comes near but they do not fight to the death.
They will roost together at night, with the “Big Rooster” on the top rung and then start again the next day. Ergo, the pecking order!
