Video: Christina Aguilera Forgets the 'Ramparts' in National Anthem, Leaves Betters Hanging
New England Sports Network ^ | Feburary 6, 2011 | Nick Coman

Christina Aguilera's national anthem at Super Bowl XLV was the subject of two popular prop bets -- the length of her performance and the duration for which she held the final note.

The line on the total anthem length was 1 minute, 54 seconds, a figure that she was nearly exactly at, according to unofficial times.

Aguilera, however, forgot the line in the Star Spangled Banner about "the ramparts." If she had completed the anthem in full, she would have nearly certainly gone over the Vegas line.

Her final note appeared to have lasted longer than the six seconds that the line was set at.

Also a useful reminder that anything upon which Las Vegas takes bets is susceptible to being fixed.

Tom Sullivan in the Seventies.
Check out how the United States National Anthem is properly sang. Starts at 5:00 into the film. Super Bowl X in Orange Bowl/ Miami. He could not see but could damn well sing and had great backup!

Thank you, I was looking all over for that.

That’s how you sing the National Anthem.
