actually i tinks the real story went like this... after watching his three friends suffer after bunga bunga....the chief approached him and asked death or bung bunga? to which he answered “I would rather die than suffer that!” to which the chief reponded ~ “good, so be it, death by bunga bunga”
That is indeed the correct version. Good to see one other literate person here.
That's the way I heard it also, except then the phrase was "buff buff" instead of "bunga bunga". I think I prefer the sound of the latter for the joke.
