A friend of mine in academia forwarded this e-mail to me from an Egyptian student whose good sense he vouches for. The student tells a story very different from what most of you are seeing on television or reading in your papers.
Unless the author gives me permission to reveal his identity, I am not at liberty to disclose it. [Update: The author, Sam Tadros, has given his permission to publish his name.]

My apologies for the length of this article, but I see it as extremely important to tell the whole story as it happened.

Fascinating. Thanks for posting that link.
Yes you can see it for yourself regarding media bias "in the face of danger" shocked that THEY THE MEDIA would fall "victim"--it is, first, all about them anyway? : # 23
You might say some Egyptians blame the media..AGAIN.Keeping them out of their neighborhoods.
Some excited Diane Sawyer and Christiane Amanpour reporting via video running.
"they beat their fists on our car"..[rolls eyes..] Now, they safely report from INSIDE. [Yes is in the video]
..means Get Out of Dodge where you don't belong!!
On a funny but similar note: The losing over emotional contestants who wanted a spot on American Idol are even using 4 letter words, hand signs and striking the cameras pushed upon them by media as filmed leaving.
If you guys really, REALLY, want to read some pheeenomenal and incisive comments on what is happening in Egypt (and what is coming)...read the comments to the article.
Bump for later reading.
About half of it sounds like the LA riots after Rodney King.
Very interesting. Thanks for posting.
Btt
I’m not sure who is more naive, the Egyptian student who penned this piece or Clarice Feldman who posted it. This guy is dreaming. A few weeks ago, they thought, that Israelis planted sharks at their resort. and they also think that they won the war with Israel in 1973. Their minds are polluted and not ready for prime time. Here’s an Egyptian happy that the Army is in charge and doesn’t know or care what comes next. Not much of a foundation to go in except Jew hatred. No love for the West here.
Do you get the feeling that the writer is happy that the Army is in charge? I don’t.
