Rod Stewart and Jeff Beck set for album reunion
Former bandmates 'making progess' on recording first LP together since the late-60s
For the first time since the late-60s, Rod Stewart and Jeff Beck are "inching" toward recording a new album together. "We're making progress," Stewart said.
Stewart and Beck have not recorded an LP together in 40 years. The Jeff Beck Group's first two albums, Truth and Beck-Ola, cemented the former Yardbird as a guitar god and gave Stewart his big breakthrough. But the band broke up in 1969 on the eve of Woodstock, where they were scheduled to play, and Stewart's solo career soon went stratospheric. Apart from a one-off song in 1985, the singer and guitarist have not recorded together since.

Faces reunion?
To: Blue Highway
The Jeff Beck Group reunion.
Faces would be great, but Ronnie Lane is gone.

And Ronnie Wood is with the Stones. And looks terrible!

Wasn’t Beck’s band with Stewart called Truth?
Good stuff whatever they were called.

Carmine Appice is the most over rated rock drummer ever.

Ronnie Wood is a gyppo/traveler. I never knew that.
Rod and Jeff Beck are nice blokes. Geez - Rod’s ex-wives still like him.

Rod Stewart's late 60s, early 70s blues records (solo and with the Faces) were his best work. He was an fantastic rock/blues singer.
Enough of his latest songbook/showtune crapola. Time to belt out the blues again.
And judging from his recent R&R HOF performance, Beck his still at the top of his game.

The Stones considered firing Ron Wood because of his inability to stop drinking. Perhaps Ron can go to the Jeff Beck Group and Mick Taylor could rejoin the Stones.

Well, if they considered firing Wood at the same time deciding to keep Richards must’ve been a helluva drinker.

Last summer I found a few Ronnie Laine demo records at a garage sale. These are the one off, direct to disk demo records from the 60’s. I bought them cheap, and was hoping I had found some gold. Nope. They were mediocre country demos. Not the same guy. I knew the name was spelled wrong, but it was worth the gamble.
