Most cops are used to the FACT that 99.99999 percent of the people they pull over for something, WILL LIE TO THEM. You are both correct for calling me on this. Although I am sure you both know what I meant, I expressed it very badly and untruthfully.
If I may restate it-
When someone is pulled over for something like speeding, they will usually try to get out of it by trying to make some excuse up or claim ignorance. The cops have 'heard it all' and it has been my experience that if you MAN UP to the DEED, and admit you were breaking the 'law', they will usually give you some kind of break.

Also, at night if you will turn on the dome lights open the window and put your hands on the steering wheel it calms them alot.
Ive had two different cops thank me for those things after it was all said and done.
Both times I got a warning. No excuses to them just "Im sorry I wasnt paying attention to my speed well enough"
