If it’s very low on the horizon it is probably Venus. If it appears to be about 35 degrees up in the ESE it is probably Saturn

You’re probably seeing Venus in the morning, and for the past few months Jupiter has been especially brilliant in the evenings.
Keep an eye on Orion in case Betelgeuse finally decides to let loose....

Get yourself a Droid phone and download the “Google Sky” app. Launch the app, point the back of the phone to the star/planet in question and you will see the name.
That is how I do it!
