“America First Committee”

Got this tidbit from wikipedia

Started in 1940, it became defunct after the attack upon Pearl Harbor in December 1941. Recent organizations with similar names are not in any way connected to this historic group.

Interestingly insouciant remark by Mrs. Roosevelt about breaking Henry Ford, who had already established a willingness to stand up to the New Deal, especially the National Recovery Act, in the 1930s. He got excluded from a lot of government contracts for his trouble, despite what it cost taxpayers, and it appears that the royal couple at this point still considered him a thorn in their side.
