What has Dave said about people walking away from their homes and upside down mortgages? Does he consider that a matter of conscience? I don’t keep up with his radio or TV programs and haven’t heard his take on it.

He treats that the same as other debts. If you can afford it, then stick with the committment that has been made.

Good question and response.
Our son is in this situation now as a result of a divorce.
He is working 2 jobs and cannot afford the house, which is now his.
I’m suggesting he stick it out through a short sale or deed forfeiture; and his mom is suggesting he walk away from it.
Either way, it is a debt that will stay with him for awhile.
