I was talking to one of my sons about the playoffs. I commented about how football focused the Steelers must be, because they didn’t have a cheerleader team. He replied, “That’s because Ben Rothlisberger would attack them all.”
.... Rapist.
NFL poster boy. Too bad the Eagles didn’t make the SB... what a QB match-up that would have been.
“Just win, baby.”
"I was surprised," says Ray Skoff, 41, a lifelong Pittsburgher and Steelers season-ticket holder for two decades. "Behavior and attitude-wise, I believe he's done a total 180, how he presents himself on and off the field. It seems totally different."
That's my take on him. Maybe he's finally grown-up. One more screw-up off the field though and he's out. The Steelers are about football first and foremost. We don't want or need cheerleaders, primadonas, or off the field theatrics. The millions of Steelers fans that proudly wear the black and gold expect, no, demand that their team play hard and clean on the field and keep their noses clean off the field. NFL football, a game to some, but nearly a religion in Pittsburgh. :-)
The Steelers dumped a very good wide receiver, Santonio Holmes, after his fourth incident ... he ran out his redemption opportunities.
Yeah, that's sarcasm
But after what the Rooney family did to get Obama elected (and Obama's nice little payoff to Dan with the Irish Ambassadorship), I can safely say that I hate the Pittsburgh Steelers more than any other team.
They've always been a favorite of the sports media who coo over their glory years, but now they're the team of statism.
May Super Bowl XLV turn out like Super Bowl XXX (Steelers get pounded).
Man, I hate the Stillers. But, what am I stuck with - the Bungles and their cheapskate, in-bred owner and family. It must be good to be a Stillers fan. Bungles fans will never know the joy of hoisting the Lombardi trophy as long as the Brown family owns them.
The should probably keep Big Ben in Pittsburgh as long as possible before the Super Bowl, just to be safe.
Lots of young women running around in Dallas these days.
Lock up your daughters until after SB XLV
As long as he beats the Packers.

So many ‘haters’ of the beloved Black and Gold on here. My, my...its going to be a fun two weeks:)
ESPN did a piece last week on the Best Fans of any franschise...it came out almost unanimously the Stiller Nation. The ESPN guys had the lamest excuses ever for why. Black and Gold are ‘cool, machismo colors.’ They play outdoor on real grass (so do alot of others). No...the reason they missed, is the most obvious here (on a political board).
Our declining population (first huge wave went out with the death knell of the US steel industry) sent a generation born ‘here’ out there...all over the US seeking jobs. Yet, during the Fall and Winter they could ‘revisit’ the Burgh (or their relatives could come and stay with them if they were close to an away game) via the Steelers. If you wore the Black and Gold you immediately found ‘other’ displaced yinzers. And so it went on...
The Stiller Nation...the original ‘social network.’
Rwi, we are soooooo ahead of the curve here, aren’t we (’splains the jealousy)...
