Fitness legend Jack LaLanne died of respiratory failure due to pneumonia Sunday afternoon at his home in California. He was 96.
LaLane hosted a popular workout show for several decades, opened a chain of gyms, and created a popular line of juicers.
His agent said he worked out and exercised every day of his life, even up until the end.
think he was in Howie’s death pool?
Death of a true legend.
Prayers...
He was a living legend. RIP, Jack.
Very sad. I’m sure he was a great man. His power juicers, OTOH, sucked.
He was just on Fox & Friends a few days ago showing healthy foods to eat.
Rest in Peace Jack. You were a great patriot.

So, I can give up most of he food I like, spend one-eighth of my waking time exercising, and still die younger than George Burns, who recommended cigars and cocktails.
96 yrs is a very long time to live and I’d think that toward the end he was in a lot better shape than my own Dad (who turns 90 next month and has Alzheimer’s and many other problems)
How weird. For the first time in eons, I seriously considered joining a gym today, which is something that has never once crossed my mind before.
Condolences to the family. Jack was a great American.
If he had just taken better care of himself...
I remember when
All that exercise for nothing. Pity.
Yes, in a way, it seems such a waste to spend your life keeping in shape knowing that your will die regardless. It would be much more productive to focus on what you accomplish it would seem to me - not being in shape and selling juice...
I remember that guy from 40 years ago. What a life! God Speed to you Jack!
Jack lived in Morro Bay close to where I have moved. I had hoped to meet him. He was well spoken of in the area.
How sad..his home was here in San Luis Obispo County. He was quite a guy, always nice to everyone..we here will miss him.
A thousand juice machines will fall silent in grief.
