THIBODAUX Larry Luther didnt see the Facebook post by a Terrebonne Parish child-support hearing officer about a barroom bouncer appearing before him who has 23 children and too much time on his hands.
But people who read a Courier and Daily Comet story containing questions about the postings propriety had little trouble determining who the posting was about and called Luther to tell him.
Now the 41-year-old grandfather says he is preparing to file a Louisiana Judiciary Commission complaint against the hearing officer, William Dunckelman.
I am waiting on the papers in the mail, Luther said Friday night. I am doing it for future purposes, for people in the future so that their things will be privately handled and what is in court stays in court.
Dunckelman has de-activated the Facebook page that includes the post, which never mentioned Luther by name but which judicial-ethics experts say likely crossed acceptable lines of conduct such judges are obligated by law to uphold.
Just had a fellow leave child support court. He works as a bouncer and has twenty-three (23) children!, the post reads. Of course he gets paid cash and thus pays no (0) taxes. I think he needs another job as he has way too much time on his hands! What do you think?
What Luther thinks is that the post has negative and unfair implications. His two youngest children are 3 years old. There are three 14-year-olds and the rest are in their upper teens and in their 20s. He fathered his oldest child when he himself was 17.

you should publish that list as a book. i’d buy it for the huge entertainment value.
I seriously resent such hearings being “private”, when the actions and outcomes involve public monies and policies.
Call me a Reactioonary, but I prefer the rough and tumble of previous centuries, when, if it was worthy of the government’s intervention, it was worthy of being in the public square or the city gate.
More likely it was a hootnanny.
Ever heard of Earned Income Credit? See page 40 of 2009 Form 1040 for details...one interesting little quote: “The EIC is a credit for certain people who work. The credit may give you a refund even if you do not owe any tax.” Is this not a great Country? The tables indicate that the more children you have, the greater the credit...got it?
I am not a CPA or tax specialist, so I may have it all confused, but looks like a place for large families to spend a few minutes checking things out!

That thing kills me. Some people get back every dime they pay in and because they have a family we give them more back! No one should get more back in income tax refunds than they pay in.
Perscription drug commercials....Levitra, Viagra, Cialis, Lamotrin, etc.
He is bring shame upon himself.
He is a bouncer and makes $1300 a month. His children have names like Quarneisha, Tyquial, and Larryel. He has children by at least 5 or 6 women.
He is the epitome of the projects culture where everyone lives on welfare and no one is responsible for anything.
May as well have named them Foodstamp, Welfare, and Druggie.
Say what you want but the man could field his own football team ... both sides of the ball.
Go Packers!
I’d like to know how much of my hard earned tax dollars are going to him and his kids.
I saw a sign on the side of the highway on the way to work:
"Who Dat Baby Daddy DNA Testing 985-***-****"
Hilarious.
I bet all the baby mamas are hard working professionals who contribute to society. They're likely Doctors, Corperate Managers and Lawyers. I bet not one of these women, who were inpregnated by this fine upstanding fellow with his twenty three children receives welfare or food stamps.
"La-A."
Pronounced - "La Dash Ah."
No way!!
Way.
You’re apparently better qualified to judge this man than I am.
I’m not judging the man. I’m simply commenting on the human condition.
So quit judging me, you hater.
