Now if that wasn't an unwarranted slam, I don't know what one is.
I can certainly see that everyone seems to think so; however, it truely was not intentionally meant that way. It was meant as an "added concept" to getting verbally active. I threw this in there because I witness a great deal of animosity during political discussions; and, we're headed to a civil war if we can't get civil. Many who argue abusively imagine themselves to be "good Christians".
Jesus was crude and abusive when He needed to be. He certainly did not make nice and friendly with His enemies. His behavior was so thoroughly outrageous to the power structure that they branded Him a criminal and slaughtered Him in the most horrible manner possible.
He forgave them the monumentally evil nature of their sins, not their nasty little murder when He said, "Father forgive them for they know not what they do." They obviously knew they were killing Him. They did not care to believe they were killing the incarnate God.
