As did the Golden Globes Red Carpet, splendid as usual in its stellar opulence, over-indulged glam, hyped-up vamp, and glittering gownage. Hollywood’s best senoritas of starletry came out to play and prance and be seen by the millions. Down below are some of the most daring designs we witnessed, many splendorous, some we would have taken a pass on…

Olivia Wilde

Anne Hathaway

Very glamorous group of women this year. The gals were much hotter than the movies they honored...

Overall great show but Robert and James Franco should have won. Also if someone is not going to be on the show, they should go with the second place person. I hate when they do that. Why even have that award if the person is not on. The family watches Glee occasionally, but to win twice in a year was boring. Of course Modern Family the family does not watch at all. Big Bang we never watch. 30 Rock we have seen maybe three times total. I don’t remember the fifth show so I guess Glee was the right choice. lol.

I have to admit, the outfits were downright tasteful.

Where’s Cher?

Not to sound weird, but you might give 30 Rock a chance. The third season had some over-the-top episodes for liberal claptrap, but that was very much the exception. This show outshines anything else on the alphabet nets, especially against its alleged paternal show, “Saturday Night Live”. The show regularly skewers liberal sacred cows and whatever you think about Alec Baldwin as a person IRL, his character is played authentically conservative and really does counterbalance the liberal weight of the rest of the show.

And the acting is excellent, the writing is sharp and sometimes even surreal. This is the best comedy show on US TV, IMHO.

The photo caption for Tina Fey:

"Tina Fey is probably one of the worst dressed celebs. She looked irrelevant in a L’Wren Scott gown." - too funny.

I’d never watch any show with Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin. NO WAY!

Designers/dressers did a great job, for the most part, of matching the women’s coloring/eyes to their gowns, especially Angelina Jolie.

The Osbourne woman’s dress was too stark for her coloring, she looked like a vampiress. Red was too much for January Jones, even if it DID match her lipstick and Anne Hathway’s dress, while beautiful, was sort of plain for her.

Okay, there’s MY two cents worth. LOL

Halle Berry (sp?) always looks so fresh and natural ( although I hear she’s had some “work” done). A beauty.

That is strange. :) I may do that but the real reason I never really liked the show is because it seems very documentary type....I feel the same way with modern family. The one second I literally saw Modern Family.

If Cher was there, she got SKEWERED by Ricky Gervais.

It’s not 1975!

I dumped Obama Tv a year ago. I get ill when I am exposed to 30 Rock’s liberal crap on airline flights. The only thing worse is Delat spewing CNN’s s**t.

My cents from pictures posted at the site:

Thumbs up:
Angelina Jolie—I love green
Natalie Portmen—although I’d like the dress better without the stem on the rose
Scarlett Johansson—pretty dress
Catherine Zeta Jones—everything about her is gorgeous, hair, dress, she is glowing
Megan Foxx
Olivia Wilde—very pretty
Leighton Meester
Carrie Underwood
Mila Kunis
Jennifer Lopez
Dame Helen Mirren

Thumbs down:
Nicole Kidman—she looks washed out, that dress does nothing for her
Halle Barry—trashy and ugly dress. Too bad, she usually looks lovely
Julianne Moore—just ugly
Eva Longoria —too much foofoo at the bottom
Kelly Osbourne—just fugly
Jennifer Love Hewitt—the only thing keeping this from a thumbs up is the funky bodice, would have looked much better with a traditional line at the bodice
Anne Hathaway
Tilda Swinton
Claire Danes
Lea Michelle
Jauary Jones—trampy
Sandra Bulluck—just ugly
Christina Aguilera — breast implants too big for the gown, bad fit
Michelle Williams
Tina Fey —ugly inside and out
Amy Adams

Best Dressed Award from photos shown award goes to——>
Catherine Zeta Jones
Runner-up-——————> Carrie Underwood

Last year there were some beautiful gowns. I've been sort of amazed at hollywood lately, they actually seemed to develop taste.

This year, there was some weirdness. But a set of people that think Michelle is a fashion icon is bound to develop some weirdness.

For instance, I think this is weird:

And does anyone think this year too many of them look like they wore bridesmaids gowns?

After reading your post, a couple of random thoughts...

My wife thinks Ann Hathaway is gorgeous...I call her “horse face”

I think Olivia Wilde is hot, but she is a lesbian apparently.

Like I said, random thoughts.

Oh, lastly...can’t really comment on Christine A’s boobs (I am a breast man afterall) but she was damn good in Burlesque.

Yes, I go to chick flicks and I actually enjoyed this one...go see it....(and I HATE Cher for all the obvious reasons!)

Documentary? 30 Rock? Hmmm...ok. What I do is watch either via Hulu or NetFlix. That way, the show never gets any revenues from me.

I’d agree, if any of the liberal claptrap was ever portrayed as being successful, admirable or productive. I’ve seen every episode up to the middle of this season and I have yet to see one liberal shibboleth fail to be lampooned or shown to be shallow, worthless or morally and spiritually destructive. Not sure where it all comes from because I know that the writers are one and all convinced liberals, but the only values that ever work out on 30 Rock are conservative ones, just like in real life.

Personally, I thought they ALL sucked. One of them, Tilda Swinton, looked like she was wearing my great-grandmother’s housedress before women were allowed to show their ankles.
Christina Aguilera looked like stuffed sausage.

The only one that even came close to “almost” was Jennifer Lopez.
