The Do Not Call list does not require names, just phone numbers, so I don’t see how this is a workaround. The best workaround is a foreign company doing the calling.

I have gotten those call too. Recently in a new twist, solicitors are using software to hijack legitimate cell phone users real phone numbers. The number that shows up in your caller ID is a real person's cell phone & not the solicitors number.

I try to let the poor person know their cell # has been hijacked. It's only happened a couple of times but is becoming more common.

I usually rely on the caller ID and don’t answer. When it gets really annoying, I will pick up and pretend that I can’t hear them. Saying Hello over their speil usually causes them to hang up.
