Reports suggest the shooting was pretty quick. It’s hard to react quickly to an unexpected incident.
Remember when the guy in Seattle went into the donut shop and managed to shoot 4 police officers, and only one managed to get a shot off?
And with the crowd around, it might have been difficult to get a clean shot off.
I don’t think this incident is a good one for suggesting guns would have helped. Of course, that’s because a group of onlookers took positive action and disarmed the guy. If he had had a second gun instead, that would have ended badly, and having a gun would have been a help.
That's what I am wondering about.
Might a gun have helped stop Loughner sooner?
Or not....
