Here is clip from Ed Schultz's show where he is schooled on firearms and personal responsibility.

He was interviewing one of the TRUE hero's of the AZ shooting, CCW holder, “You’re damn right I would have shot him” Joe Zamudio.

Joe did everything right that a concealed carry permit holder should do.

The true hero's are those that tackled the shooter. What is galling is the media a) ignoring these true hero's (the media are not pursuing the hero's for interviews or profiles), and b) they sat in the "also-ran" seats at the AZ "rally" and never were personally cited by The Messiah.

I am sooo tired of the staffer that applied first aid being worshipped as a hero. Granted he says he is no hero, but it is obvious and clear that "guy" is not ducking the spotlight and is reveling in the attention.

I nominate this Zamudio guy for Sheriff. He could be a diplomat too, because he told Schultz to pound sand in such a way that Ed was looking forward to a trip to the beach.

As an aside, when Schultz says “it's horrific” at the 6:28 mark, I think he was talking about Zamudio’s willingness to use a gun - not the massacre.

(I will try not to hate you getting me to watch Ed Schultz)

Not sure what this young man did, as opposed to stopping anything more happening. The man was unarmed and subdued when he arrived.

Secondly, this is the first time that I actually agreed with Ed for the most part. He is a gun owner himself. He does not own a pistol.

I agree that we have problem with mental illness in this country at all levels and all age groups.

Horrific, was a reference to the shooting not the young man interviewed. IMO.

A very good interview. I guess Zemudio didn’t give the expected answers. He didn’t mince any words either.

Ed: “You would have used that firearm?”

Joe Zamudio: “You’re damn right.”

Zamudio should run for Sheriff!

I could have the wrong guy here but if this is the guy I’m thinking about, he emerged from the drug store as the dust was settling and the shooter was being held on the ground. He had clicked his safety off and was approaching when he realized the threat was over. Not sure I would classify that as “hero” but it is nice to know that there was a young man who was prepared and running to the sound of gunfire as opposed to running away from the sound of gunfire.

Question is why didn’t anybody at that rally have a gun to stop this madman?

Pray for America

It’s a good thing NY Rep. Peter King(R) hadn’t enacted his new gun control restriction prior to the Tucson shooting. Otherwise the armed Joe Zamudio would’ve been arrested and convicted of a felony for coming within 1,000 feet of Rep. Giffords during the massacre.
