Tier this ping.
</B.S. (Barry. Soetoro.)>
my rate here in IN averages just under 10.5 cents /kWh and about 15% of that is “riders” for emissions, pollution clean coal, etc
And yet, as bad as the financial straits are now in CA, they are about to get much worse, now that the fools have just elected Jerry Brown. Amazing, just how idiotic a group of people can be, and yet still remain totally immune to learning any lessons.
I thought recharging was free, just like healthcare!
Anyhow, it sure be a lot easier to “borrow” a tank full of electric from the neighbor. Any one want to trade an extension cord for siphon hose?
Gov Brown will be hoisted on his own tier.
Is this guy overly complicating the 'solution' on purpose? If they want to nullify this unintended discouragement, all they would have to do is grant legitimately registered hybrid owners a monthly rebate on their utility bill. One would think these masters of social engineering would think of this.
This is nothing compared to the cost to many of the poor homes when they find their circuits for recharging blow. Cost of charging, totally will raise their electric bill by hundreds. Oh, I forgot. Just spends hundreds buying the new bulbs and save while hoping none of your bulbs burst in flame or just plain burst and destroy your rug. One of my daughters blew in flames that stunk and luck it was in their range cover giving nothing to burn just acidic smell.
Not to mention waiting 20 minutes for the bulb to warm up and actually provide enough light to see.
Chickens coming home to roost? Is reality going to slap some people in the face? Electricity doesn’t come from unicorn farts and pixie dust?
Just imagine the new substations and powerplants that would have to be built if all cars were electric. It’s mind-boggling.
More unintended Consequences of liberalism.
WHODATHUNKIT!!
Plug-in hybrids, or as I like t call them, “Coal Cars”.
It costs about $3000 on the east coast to replace a battery pack and $4000 or more on the west coast.
LOL!
Wait until the fights begin over electric plug-in spaces. When you go for your 4 hour walk while your car charges, and come back to find someone else plugged in to “your” space, you’re going to be mighty pissed.
“Electricity doesnt come from unicorn farts and pixie dust?”
ABSOLTELY NOT, nincompoop!!! They’re leading edge sophisticated in California. First, they send out the Green Guards and round up all the utility company CEOs. Then they strip themselves naked, start a huge bonfire in front of a sacred tree and sacrifice the CEOs to
Gaia by roasting them over that fire. Gaia being thus satisfied, they plug their extension cords into the tree and get all the electricity they want.
IMHO the killer of electric cars is the limited battery life. I recently read a test report on the Nissan Leaf in a major auto magazine. The test driver wrote about having to constantly watch the “fuel” gauge and decide whether he could use the air conditioner or even the radio and have enough juice to get to his destination. I doubt many consumers would fork over $40,000 for a car where using the air conditioner, heater, defroster, wipers or sound system my prevent them from reaching their destination or to wait hours to “fuel up” regardless of how cheap the fuel.
What you get when you put liberals in charge.....STOOOOPID!
Once the envy of the world, today California is determined to hit bottom first.
