You can avoid the kidney stones issues if you slowly build your way up (drinking water), AND put a 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon of Sea Salt i your water. Preferably Kosher for it’s minerals every 32oz of water.
However, I never drink more than half my body weight in water. Which is 100oz a day.
Dunkin-Donuts coffee...
Outstanding stuff!
Need info on Chromium...I’m a type 2.
” ...shots of battery acid ...”
Mmm, my morning brew. That’s how I roll ;-)
I don’t know why but Dunkin Donuts coffee is truly the best coffee I’ve ever had!
You betcha!
Dunkin Donuts coffee for me too.
My daughter moved out west several years ago and almost had a nervous breakdown when she found out there were no Dunkins in her area.
When she flew home for visits the first thing she would do is hit the DD’s at Logan.
I hope you are, however it didn’t work for Sam. Sam became type II this year and y’all know he loves coffee and even had the guts to drink Darksheare’s coffee. All these studies will make your head spin, one day something is good for you, the next day it isn’t. Go figure.
My morning glucose was 130-140, chromium brought it down 20 points, it took a week.
Be sure and get picolinate form and take up to 900mg
it is not expensive.
YOu will probably have to go to speciality store,it helps insulin work
I recommended to a patient here and it did the same thing for her. but doctor would not take her off actos
Try it and let me know
Melissa
There is a lot of information on internet about it also.

The best instant coffee, great for the occasional cup, fantastic iced, even adds a kick to your morning yogurt....
I realize there will be time delay, but all shows are archived on the internet.
He's one of the best at explaining things in a way that's easy to understand, if not the best.
That stinks.
How is he coping with that, and the coffee?
That’s got to be pretty darn annoying.
[Understatement of the year]
Holy carp. That is no good.
I’m putting my research hardhat on now.
He’s actually doing really well. He took control of his own ailment so to speak and keeps his numbers down. I’m proud of him. He misses not being able to have bread AND potatoes at the same meal but he’s dealing with it.
That does bite.
What is the recommendation on the coffee?
Tell me about it.
I’m hoping my coffee didn’t have anything to do with it.
On the contrary. The thread is about how coffee can prevent it. My point was it didn’t work. LOL. Actually.....
In 2000, the VA added type 2 diabetes to the list of “presumptive diseases associated with herbicide exposure.” That action followed a report from the National Academy of Sciences that found “limited/suggestive” evidence of an association between the chemicals used in herbicides during the Vietnam War, such as Agent Orange, and type 2 diabetes.
The evidence of a link between exposure to Agent Orange (or dioxin, the problematic contaminant in Agent Orange) and diabetes is modest. Most of the association between Agent Orange and diabetes comes from studies of people who lived near or worked at manufacturing plants that produced large quantities of Agent Orange dioxin. In those cases, there appears to be some relationship between Agent Orange exposure and increased insulin resistance, the precursor to type 2 diabetes. In general the exposure that Vietnam veterans had to Agent Orange was much less than in the populations studied by scientists. Still, the VA has added diabetes to the list of conditions for which Vietnam veterans are eligible for disability compensation.
Diabetes does not run in his family so we were surprised but its possible AO may have played a minor roll. In any event he is doing fine, just misses all the carbs he used to be able to eat and hates taking more pills!
Hugs to you Darksheare.
Thanks Mel. I’ll try it!
I have found that sumatran coffee is low acid. Especially sumatran medium roast is very very smooth. If you like good coffee but don’t like the so-called “bright” blends or south/central american coffees which are sometimes bitter or just not that great, give it a whirl. I’ve been getting Archer Farms at Target when they have the sumatran whole beans in stock. Fairly reasonable price too.
Don’t forget there’s 8 oz of water in every cup of coffee you drink.
I doubt it
