The whole article is a riot.

Posting of series science threads is one thing.
Getting them to attract series commentary v. satire is quite another. 8-}

It will be interesting to see what they find at Planet Uranus. Why, the Butt sisters, of course.

Movie business is down (see Blockbuster for evidence) so the Hollywood sound stages can be easily rented to stage (no pun intended) another fake landing!

Well yes, but in the path of the lumen there are three....(four if you count the ileocecal valve).
I mean there are precapillary sphincters too small for the eye to see. And the pupillary sphincter that allows us to see the way we do. And the urinary sphincter that keeps us from pissing our pants.
But for the purposes of making a joke......
It was a good one too, the laughter roared out! And I even managed to say it with a straight face. ;)

May I say that it's just possible that you know entirely too much about sphincters?

LOL. I think it is a funny word. Plus I am a biologist and resident expertoneverything.
Dave Barry said that the word “weasel” is intrinsically funnier than other words. Now I will try an experiment....

I prefer the “Your uh nis” pronunciation because poor Uranus is the butt of so many jokes.
