Speculation-VANITY--Why shooter chose Rep. Giffords
1/10/11 | Self

I don't think his choice of target is hard to figure out.

She was his U.S. Representative and he lived in her district. He also lived relatively close to where she was appearing Saturday. This was a crime of opportunity, not ideology. He had been monitoring her for several years. I am positive that if his Rep had been Republican or a member of any other party he would have done the same thing.

This was OBVIOUSLY not politically related.

I think the most apt, relevent and believable description of him that I've seen has been this: A Left Wing, pot smoking, 9-11 truther, apolitical madman.

That's my take anyway. My prayers to the victims and their families. God Bless the great state of Arizona.

Simple, she wasn’t left enough.

The ultra left is violent and repulsive. This guy isn’t the only one out there. The MSM had better watch what the wish for.

I don’t think his choice of target is hard to figure out.”

The death of Judge Roll makes it hard to figure for me, personally. It’s not as if this guy wasn’t a raving looney lefty. Who would have been a more logical target? All the facts aren’t in. The Rep died and there was history there, yes ... but that doesn’t make her automatically the (ONLY) target for this assassin. Others died, too. I think we may be way too quick in our conclusions in this.

In 2009, Judge Roll faced death threats after presiding over a $32 million civil-rights lawsuit. The lawsuit was filed by illegal immigrants against an Arizona rancher. After Judge Roll ruled that the case would be certified, threats came from talk-radio shows which fueled controversy and spurred audiences into making threats against the judge.

After one radio talk show, Judge Roll’s name logged more than 200 phone calls as some callers threatened the judge and his family. This resulted in the judge and his wife being placed under a full-time protective detail for one month. A US Attorney’s investigation identified four men as the makers of the threats, but no charges were filed.

One of the marshals assigned said “A lot of times, you find threats are made by guys covered with Cheeto dust and still living in their mother’s basement. We still have to neutralize all of those threats.”

If he wanted to look MORE crazy, I don’t know HOW. He even shaved his eyebrows.

Left-wing AND apolitical? I dunno, sounds to me like those two are mutually exclusive.

He was ‘anti-constitution’ for whatever reason.

Last week, he witnessed his Democrat congresswoman participate in reading a portion of the constitution on the house floor.

Doesn’t seem too hard to connect the dots to me. He viewed her as a ‘sellout’, and that was the trigger.

Have you seen this youtube page http://www.youtube.com/user/giffords2 Now at the bottom left of the page is a link from her youtube page to Loony Loughner`s youtube page. A freeper I spoke to says that it may be a red herring since according to the page it says that she visited it 24 hours ago and she was in the hospital. However, if she did do the link: When?, Why?, and What was the extent of their knowledge of each other? Did she give an already deranged loony an excuse to think that there was something there that wasn`t? Did he feel rejected and resentful? Was this a weird case of fatal attraction? Or did someone alter her youtube page in an attempt to lead people astray? If so, Who did it? And How? Is this an attempt by some leftist scumbag to discredit any who would try and use this to establish a link? Many questions there but all worth asking.

“Well if he is looney than I do not think there is any real logic there.”

That’s kind of my point ... could have just as easily been after the Judge. Who knows?

He reminds me of Lee Harvey Oswald. The media commentary is also very much the same: "The attack resulted from the hostile political environment", not some lone nut who has to get noticed.

She didn't answer this question from a 2007 event like Saturday. ...long before Sarah Palin was a national figure.
