My own contribution. The above excerpt sets up the stronger words I have at the end.

In case anyone's interested, Enter Stage Right's long been on the Resource Links list on the FR home page.

Excellant writing, excellant analysis. Brilliant, succinct, and accurate.

this is the best writing on this tragedy I have seen so far!!!!

You hit all the points and bring them all together in a mosaic of reasoned thought.

Her voting record gives good insight into how the phony “blue dog conservative Democrats” operate.

They will find two issues that your District really cares about (typically 2nd Amendment and national defense) and vote “conservative” on those issues.

BUT on other issues which are damaging to America (”Dream Act”, Obamacare, abortion, unemployment extension, etc.) they will vote in a block with the rest of the Democrat party.

This is how the Democrat Party have suckered American voters for years and one big reason they have maintained majorities when they should not have.

Unfortunately too many voters focus on their one hot-button issue and don’t look any farther. Perhaps some good will come out of this incident if more people learn the truth about the “blue dogs”.

34. Words mean things.

I keep seeing this horrifying crime referred to as a tragedy, and I think its important to set the record straight.

“Hamlet”, “Macbeth”, “Romeo and Juliet”, “King Lear”, “Titus Andronicus” and others are all tragedies.

Gunning down a Federal Judge, a nine year old girl, a US Congress Member and a whole bunch of other people is an atrocity.

While the deaths and severe injuries are no doubt tragic to the people involved, that does not make this event a tragedy, as that garners too much sympathy and lays the groundwork for some acceptable excuse at some future date. There are no words to justify or ameliorate this attempted assassination, or mass murder, or vicious attack by a deranged maniac; or any other way we can find to describe this horrifying act, but I believe we should avoid the temptation to buttonhole this as a mere “tragedy”.

(My comments are not aimed at you personally either...just a comment about how we all fall into these language habits so easily.)

Shooter is Insane? No doubt.

But was he used as a useful idiot? It is possible.

Current Commie Dems are capable of “anything”. Absolutely “ANYTHING”.

I thought it was well written and moved much of what is intangible to tangible on the FR. You write better than I do- although I keep trying.

I don't always agree with many of the opinions at the FR- some things in the political sphere seem trite; but one thing is for certain, we are better human beings than the progressive liberals.

The young man who killed and wounded them is all-but certainly a schizophrenic

Ok, so he doesn't know the difference between reality and fantasy. Fine. Strap him into the electric chair and tell him it's a ride at Disney. He won't know the difference.

I think the real point here is that the time for dialog is closing. When events can be twisted into whatever the Brown Shirt Media wants them to we are at an end of dialog.
