History Channel pulled the plug the controversial "The Kennedys" doc Friday, and now this question: Where? Where will eight hours of a now-highly-promotable miniseries end up on U.S. TV, or is it too hot to handle? For reasons still unclear, HC said no, and widespread speculation about the reason landed at the door of part-owner Disney/ABC, which buckled under pressure from the family; the mini - an unusual venture for HC under any circumstances immediately drew fire from various liberal points on the cultural compass when it was announced because of the association with producer Joel Surnow, former "24" producer, and considered an unusual conservative voice, or unusual for Hollywood in any event.

I wonder what Tom Cruise thinks of his wife’s movie being jettisoned.
Maybe Fox will pick it up.
I am still waiting on Pathway to 911 being released on CD
Or maybe on DVD so we can watch it on our televisions...
It’ll never air in the US.
Hopefully the DVD/Blu-ray will lack region coding so it will work on American players.
The ash heap of history.
A year’s worth of filming never fed a hungry child.
Most of them, face down on a bar room floor.
What? You were talking about the TV series? Never mind...
The show is still owned by the production company and Surnow, so he can distribute it straight to video or find another network or cable outlet to air it. It is in no way dead. Heck, he could make it a several-part movie and show it in movie theaters, if he finds a distributor. It would be like seeing all the Harry Potter movies in the theater in one year instead of over six years or so.
The level where they’re doomed to relive the most gut wrenching, squirm-inducing, humiliating hours of their lives over and over again for life everlasting.
They’ll be bored but suffering forever.
I just started watching episode one and already have seen one inaccuracy. As I remember Joe Kennedy, Jr. was in the Army Air Corps while JFK was in the Navy.
Yet both are depicted as wearing Navy uniforms and JFK’s first one showed him as a Lt. not a Lt. jg which is what he was when he went to the Pacific to command a PT Boat.
Those kind of mistakes should not have happened.
So if minor mistakes are made what will I make of the whole series and I have read a lot of books on the Kennedy’s over the course of my life.
