Everyone is edgy about this issue. You, DJ MacWoW, appear to be the most vocally defensive about these issues and also appear to have inside information. I don’t know anything about FR but what I read on the forum.

Underlying all of this anxiety is the matter of future incarnations of FreeRepublic.com. What happens when this current perl technology is completely outdated or breaks for the last time?

Does FR go away? Does Jim pull the plug on the whole thing? Does John ride off into the sunset? Is there an existing plan to rewrite FR in a more modern language? Should there be a volunteer task force to look into it? Or does Jim think it’s none of our damn business?

All most of us want in this matter is a responsible and visible roadmap to the future stable technology of FR.

Since we donate we feel this is an appropriate request. There’s nothing personal or anti-conservative about it.

Because, as I have stated, I read Jim Robinsons posting history after an event. It's not hard to get info. You just have to look for it.

No one is forced to donate or be a Freeper. I'm simply tired of the bellyaching. Jim clearly stated almost a year ago that we lost a server and some software in a crash. I got the info by LOOKING FOR IT.

Also these endless vanities let the left know that their attack is WORKING. Wanna go to Kos and DU and tell them in case they MISSED THE INFO?!
