Whether it's red tilapia dying en masse in Thailand or thousands of blackbirds dropping out of the sky over Arkansas it might seem like the entire natural world has given up the ghost. Now this startling new map shows every instance of falling birds and dying fish across the globe over the past few weeks.
Created by an anonymous user and posted on the aggregator website Digg, each pin represents a mention in the media of an instance of a large number of animals dying suddenly.

I can’t believe the global warming cult hasn’t trumpeted that these mass animal die offs are a sure signs of global warming/cooling/climate change and are George Bush’s fault or at least the result of the new Republican Congress.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they were behind the hype surrounding this.
Obama’s regulatory czar (Cass Sunstein) once wrote about the value of conspiracy theories in achieving political goals.
Especially since, according to the map, almost all of the animal deaths have occurred in westernized, mostly industrialized democracies. Apparently third-world and communist/socialist countries (except for Viet Nam and Sweden) are exempt.
I prefer the method perfected by the British in India for dealing with Malaria: Gin and Tonic, twice a day!
