Only problem is, over 70% of all manufacturing could not occur without oil. Not including the use of energy, just the fact that most plastics, materials, lubricants and chemicals comes from Oil.

Of course, you have always believed that oil can be eliminated and alternatives will easily replace it. It's all just energy and energy alone.

The facts are, not ONE automobile would come out of Detroit without oil to make the carpet, plastics glass, paint and vinyl/rubber.

But of course “Cold Fusion” must have an answer and solution for that as well, according to this crop of total bullshit.

Let me be the first to say it, BS!

If Cold Fusion or Neutrino Reactors were possible and Economically viable we would have them now.

Photovoltaics and Wind power are massively Inefficient and require huge Subsidies functioning only a small percentage of the time and having no way to store energy while needing a cost prohibitive investment in transmission lines.

If the Two Pie in the Sky were even possible they would require even more of what would be necessary to make Wind and Photovoltaics workable.

A reliable energy supply is mandatory to promote economic development. But, We have an administration that does Not want America to be Prosperous because that would somehow be exploiting the less Intelligent or less ambitious.

The Regime currently Ruling us is Not interested in an abundant energy source that would Democratize Energy and Liberate Americans. Instead they want a limited Centralized source that will keep Americans in crisis mode and Dependent upon the Government.

Looks like you didn’t even bother to click on the link. You’re using a recycled argument.

Before all the snide remarks begin, here are some articles to read so that the detractors don’t run through the same arguments over & over again.

Why do we dump $billions into hot fusion, which has produced tens of MegaJoules, when the $millions we’ve trickled to cold fusion has produced thousands of MegaJoules?

Not including the use of energy, just the fact that most plastics, materials, lubricants and chemicals comes from Oil.
***Which accounts for, what, maybe 5% of oil usage? The vast majority of oil usage is for energy production. I would be much more comfortable to be beholden to islamofascists for a 5% figure rather than a 95% figure.

But of course “Cold Fusion” must have an answer and solution for that as well, according to this crop of total bullshit.
***No, not at all. It has an answer for energy production, not plastics production.

You do not address why the Energy from “Cold Fusion” is not for sale on the commercial market today.

If it was then you might have a point about whether it is possible.

The very fact that Kevmo posted this Populist/Marxist propaganda, and is serious about it, is evidence that Trolls can and will survive for way too long on this forum.
***I’m not sure your comments will survive long enough to be addressed, since they violate the rule of not making it personal.

Assuming your comment survives, I could care less about the political nature of this article other than the big picture it presents. If you want to discuss the viability of cold fusion, great. If you want to seagull and call a long-standing Freeper a troll, then get lost.

Clicked the Link at the Top of the Article and it took me to a page that was talking about Google. Nothing about energy there.

Energy from “Hot Fusion” is not for sale on the commercial market today, although we have poured $billions into it. When that happens, you might have a point.

Let’s say we’ve poured $200B into hot fusion and we’ve produced 20MegaJoules of Energy. That’s $10k/Joule. But with cold fusion we’ve seen ~2,000 MegaJoules for ~$200M. That’s $0.10/Joule. It is 4 orders of magnitude cheaper. It deserves 4 orders of magnitude more money, directly to be taken from the hot fusion projects.

You are incredibly ignorant.

It is an industrial fact, posted at the American Petroleum Institute, that over 45% of every barrel of oil is used for manufacturing materials, medical supplies, building materials, food packaging (water bottles, etc,) plastics, electrical components etc,,, The list is vast and thorough.

There again, you make brash statements without backing them with facts. Which convinces me that the rest of your B.S. is nothing more than just that. Especially your Cold Fusion theory. Which if it were so complete and superior, would be the Worlds most widely used form of Energy by now.

That is, if it were true. You make it sound so abundant and easy, even a Cave Man could do it!

Reducing or eliminating all or most union influence would be a major factor in any recovery. This would include reining in pension plans, reducing them and eliminating all of them for future hires. In other words, let new employees pay for their own benefits with their salaries. Also, cut or eliminate as much government spending wherever possible except for necessary and emergency services such as military, law enforcement, firefighters, hospitals, etc. Next begin massive nationwide and statewide investigations into any waste fraud and abuse in welfare, food stamp programs, social security and medicare. Next, secure the border and stop the flow of illegal immigration. Heavily fine any company that hires illegal aliens. Force companies to investigate who they hire before they hire them to ensure they are in this country legally so that jobs can go to American citizens or legal immigrants.

Alan

Simpson calls seniors the Greediest

Generation…
Here’s

a response in a letter from a fellow in Montana

“Hey

Alan, let’s

get a few things

straight…
1.

As a career politician, you have been on the public

dole for

FIFTY YEARS.

2.

I have been paying Social Security taxes for 48

YEARS (since I was 15 years old. I am now

63).

3. My

Social Security payments, and those of millions of

other Americans, were safely tucked away in an

interest bearing account for decades until you

political pukes decided to raid the account and give

OUR money to a bunch of zero ambition losers in

return for votes, thus bankrupting the system and

turning Social Security into

a Ponzi scheme

that would have made Bernie Madoff

proud

4. Recently, just like

Lucy & Charlie Brown, you and your ilk pulled

the proverbial football away from millions of

American seniors nearing retirement and moved the

goalposts for full retirement from age 65 to age

67. NOW, you and your shill commission

is proposing to move the goalposts YET

AGAIN.

5. I, and millions of

other Americans, have been paying into Medicare from

Day One, and now you morons propose to change the

rules of the game. Why? Because you idiots

mismanaged other parts of the economy to such

an extent that you need to steal money from

Medicare to pay the

bills

6. I,

and millions of other Americans, have been paying

income taxes our entire lives, and now you propose

to increase our taxes yet again. Why? Because

you incompetent bastards spent our money so

profligately that you just kept on spending even

after you ran out of money. Now, you come to the

American taxpayers and say you need more to pay off

YOUR debt.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
To
add insult to injury, you label us “greedy” for
calling “bullshit” on your incompetence. Well,
Captain Bullshit, I have a few questions for
YOU.
1.
How much money have you earned from the American
taxpayers during your pathetic 50-year
political career?
2. At what age
did you retire from your pathetic political career,
and how much are you receiving in annual retirement
benefits from the American
taxpayers?
3. How much do you
pay for YOUR government provided health
insurance?
4. What cuts in
YOUR retirement and healthcare benefits are
you proposing in your disgusting deficit
reduction proposal, or, as usual, have you
exempted yourself and your political
cronies?
It
is you, Captain Bullshit, and your political
co-conspirators who are “greedy”. It is you and they
who have bankrupted America and stolen the American
dream from millions of loyal, patriotic
taxpayers. And for what? Votes.
That’s right, sir. You and yours have
bankrupted America for the sole purpose of advancing
your pathetic political careers. You know it,
we know it, and you know that we know
it.
And
you can take that to the bank, you miserable son of
a bitch.”
How long was it between the discovery of electricity and the sale of electricity on the commercial market?
Technological history can be our friend and keep us from making fools of ourselves in public.
