People say that we should give Vicks a second chance.

I think of it this way. This man voluntarily did something, to a defenseless, trusting animal that you could never force me to do.

Vicks is a warped, twisted and sadistic animal - when no one was looking - he entertained his inner demons at the expense of animals that had neither escape, nor a way to defend themselves.

What do they expect people to do? Give Vicks credit for not raping, torturing and murdering young children?

Not completely sure how I feel about this whole Mike Vick thing.

When you hear him talk now, opposed to before, he is really a more focused player. It was no secret that he was the last one to arrive and the first to leave the practice facility - now he is the first to arrive and the last to leave.

As a dog-lover I find what he did unexcusable, listening to him talk about what is did, he does “sound” remorseful.

Rappers attempt to compare what he did to us “whiteys” hunting for dear.

People can definitely change, but I am skeptical that two years of prison can correct a lifetime of bad decision making that seems to run in his family. His brother Marcus Vick has a record of running afoul of the law as least as far back as his college days.

I'm a big believer in second chances, however it depends on what the initial problem/crime was, for example, a drug addict who goes to rehab and then becomes dedicated to helping others in the same situation.Worth a second chance.

But for what he did, no second chance, NO million dollar deal in the NFL. I don't believe for one minute he has "turned himself around." He should have been banned for life.
