Jeremy Clarkson and his Top Gear co-stars have sparked religious outrage after dressing up in burkas on the Boxing Day special.
Clarkson and Richard Hammond decided to dress in niqabs, a form of the burka where everything but the eyes are covered, in order to disguise themselves on the road.
They also got James May in on the act when they greeted him from hospital after he fell and hit his head on rocks in the Syrian desert.

Thanks to you all. I will be checking BBC America for times and days.
Damn right! The US one is embarrassing.
Don’t forget the Caravan Holiday that ended up a flaming disaster. Laughed till I cried.
Actually, at least one of the USA version shows was EXACTLY the same stunts as a BBC version, complete with eggs in a collander hanging over their heads.
The guys don’t seem to me to be nearly as good as the british versions, but I realise that I’m used to the originals so maybe it isn’t possible for me to make a fair comparison.
I loved that, especially their nonchalant attempts at controlling the blaze. I presumed that the next-door camper was the crews, because I think a lot of what they do is more purposeful than they suggest.
Did Top Gears “offensive remarks” in Alabama include the line,
“I am a gay urban liberal and I’m here to take away your guns!”
(Some radio jock who lost an on the air wager was forced to wear that on his car and drive through the South, not by interstates but only on secondary roads).
Anyway, the muzzies need to be reminded that no clothing is sacred and that free citizens can wear any d@mn thing they want (outside of TSA control of course).
No, from memory, they were “Man-Love rules”, “Hillary Clinton for Pres”, and “Nascar Sucks”.
The challenge was for each of them to write something on another team member’s car that would get them killed.
I been watching Law and Order UK is me or what that guy try be Brit version of Lenny Briscoe he trying too hard
I was laughing so hard on Alabama episode LOL!
I wondering how they get away from this LOL!
I absolutely love this show
.
Don’t forget, ‘country music is rubbish’.
Coy, Vance & Vance will NEVER beat the Brits. The Brit version has all the right elements in talent, writing, visuals, and plots (such as they are).
I hate to say this but the British version is sooooooo much better than the wimpy history channel version.
That’s right, and hilarious as well.
I saw the US version and the hosts are terrible. Should have gotten P.J. O'rourke to add humour, journalism and car knowledge.
Oh man, the part where Adam jumped the Caddy....
I had a 77, a wee bit smaller than the 76, the idea of taking that beast off road and jumping a hill like that......
Which one almost end up in Coma did end up in Coma was the dude on Left
I can't believe he found a wife that was shorter than him. In heels no less.
The fox hunting show was superb. I can't wait until the earlier episodes are available on Netflix. I've streamed the later ones and have put the older ones (unavailable with unknown releases date) on the ready when they are available. Having owned an Alfa Romeo spider (bought it new), I relate to their love of Alfa's easily.
