Jeremy Clarkson and his Top Gear co-stars have sparked religious outrage after dressing up in burkas on the Boxing Day special.

Clarkson and Richard Hammond decided to dress in niqabs, a form of the burka where everything but the eyes are covered, in order to disguise themselves on the road.

They also got James May in on the act when they greeted him from hospital after he fell and hit his head on rocks in the Syrian desert.

Add your comments to the Daily Mail article website. The Muzzy complainers need a good pounding and then some.

Try and find the episode where they tried trailer camping at a park. OMG.

BBC America. Most cable carriers and DirectTV carry it.

At least a few recent seasons were also on Netflix streaming, last time I checked.

My best friend is not in the process of sending me all the TG episodes from Season 6 on. She had to make sure I wanted to see the Vietnam episode because of some jack*ss things they say about the US. It’s the only thing I dislike about TG. Don’t want to see the Vietnam episode.

Muslims outraged. WHAT a surprise! Will Clarkson and company have to hide like Rushdie soon?

The British version of The Office is much better than the American, British Little Britain is better than American version, too.

But TG US is a BBC product. If you want to blame anyone blame the BBC. Obviously there are better guys they could have gotten together to host. One wonders if they really wanted to get better hosts.

IMHO those three are one of the best comedy troupes of the last 20 years; Clarkson is a genius.

These shows are hilarious. Clarkson is anti-government control, anti-green and one show demonstrated how a BMW got better gasoline mileage than a Prius.

From the article (emphasis mine):

Islamic extremist Anjem Choudary, said: 'The burka is a symbol of our religion and people should not make jokes about it in any way...

That's pretty cool. The Brits actually identified the guy as an 'islamic extremist'. You won't see THAT in the NYT!

I agree, give it some time. However the best episode so far is the Moonshine run episode..

The US version would be better if one of the guys was Cheech Marin. Chong would be funny but probably wreck too many cars.

Absolutely! It's become my favorite TV show and I'm recording as many episodes from previous seasons as I can find. Those guys play perfect ensemble but Clarkson's wit, glibness and audacity hold it together. I agree he's a genius. My favorite episode so far is the one where he drives a 3-wheeled, plastic-bodied "car" all over England, mostly on its side. He even crashes it into a cricket match. Hilarious!

James May dead pan straight man and anal retentiveness is hilarious. Clarkson, who gets on my nerves sometimes, said “some Americans think Obama is a blend of Jesus, Mother Theresa and Martin Luther King.” He is not a fan of Hussein.

He is also anti EU aka Euro Sceptic whihc is a good thing. He also supported the Countryside Alliances (CA) aka Fox hunting crowd which is roughly equal to our Tea Party.

CA is roughly “flyover country” people.

Nothing to do with TG but a nice wee side note Jeremy Clarksons father in law was awarded the VC for his actions at Arnhem.
