He also prescribed alcolhol for the new parents ;)
For those that can't get over the "black nurse" comment, get over it. .....professional friend has no opinion of olive oil, thats why I posted the thread. He mentioned that here in the south that the black culture used "sweet water" or "sweet oil"...terms I've never heard of and a remedy that I was suspect of.
If my wife and I lived in Miami and the nurse at the doctor exchange said to spread chicken bones on a plate and read them to the baby, I'd be calling friends, posting on FR, and second guessing the creole nurse, black nurse, whatever her creed...ESPECIALLY WHEN HER PREVIOUS ADVICE WAS ADVERSE TO THE HEALTH OF THE BABY.......but since you don't care to read my post, and would rather read more into it, go ahead.
BTW....we interview a black nanny Thursday....has the most experience, is a retired RN, etc, so don't thrown the race card at me.
Oh, and if your offended, GOOD. I love offending people since you have never, and will never have a right to NOT be offended.
Thanks to those FRiends for advice and prayers, to hell with the rest of you.
Thank you for the update. I’m glad the doc checked him out yesterday and will see the baby again the AM. Please update us again. Those of us who have had babies know that the best we do is hold them up in prayer and try to make educated guesses asking God to guide us.
Do take that alcohol. It won’t make parenting any easier but it might make it more fun. LOL!
I’m glad that your little man is on the mend. God bless!
