“Even though there is evil in the world, even though injustice pervails for awhile, even though people might fail you, there is still a God who loves you.”
I wish my memory were better. The preacher tonight talked about how are perception of the “baby in the manger, all meak and mild” is a bit off. Yes, He was a baby. But in that manger was the God that spoke into being the Universe.
And He did not come to Earth to be a meak and mild baby, but came to destroy (I think that was the word) the Evil and Sin of the world.
I pray that for you Salamander, and for all of us - that we will rest in the fact that God came to earth as a human to know what it is to be human. To be brutalized, to have our claims ignored, to be punished for making those claims. But He also rested in the fact that He spoke the truth, and that He pleased His Father. And that He knew that one day - He would be victorious. And that we share in that that Victory!

You have no idea what kind of very intense impact that had on me.
Thank you so much.
