I posted my comment (...man long gone and lonely here), then I went back and read the thread.
Lots of you are dealing with much worse (bless you!) than me and some seem to be alone by choice, or just spending a quiet evening doing what you enjoy. Very happy to hear the good news that different posters posted, too.

Enjoy your evening. Make it what you want it to be. Give yourself a manicure or some crazy face mask :-) Enjoy the "new birth" of the new you being single. I think Christmas is the perfect time. Time to look forward to new beginnings :-)
