yes...if it is not playing in the lobby of the motel that I am staying in, it soon will be. If my doctors office does not have it on, it soon will have, our local Knights of Columbus has it on, the Eagles has it on. When I say it soon will have or will be, that means that as I come in I change the channel to suit myself....which means to Fox. In some cases, I no longer have to do so....when I gat there, Fox is already on.....that's called success!!!
“FNC is far more RINO/neocon that it is conservative.”
Some of the people on there are a lot better than others as conservatives. But FNC is the only one that always has both sides represented on panels, discussions, etc., AND it’s the only network I know of on basic tv (cable and non-cable networks) that cover many stories no one else does, and where we get the conservative view fairly voiced.
Or, you might hear about how FOX News is killing PMSNC and CNN in the ratings for the past five consecutive years because most of it’s veiwers are finally able to hear all three sides of the story instead of the one that is coming from the DNC/National Socialist Party.
Fox News is on TV #3 out of 7 at my gym.
The machines in front of it, 3 rows of them, are ALWAYS in use. CNN is #7 - you can hear the crickets chirp down there.
It is on every plasma big screen in the medical clinics and offices. Also in my civilian Dr office wating room every single time I am there.
“and the other one, a screaming liberal, does watch it about half and half with CNN. Surprisingly he complains that CNN is too biased.”
I’d say there’s hope for him on two counts - one, if he were a “screaming” liberal, he’d be watching only MSNBC which feature the literal, i.e. Schultz, Maddow, Matthews and others (as does my brother-in-law who, sadly, has brainwashed my sister and, until rather recently, my nephew - although he now seems to be seeing the light).
Second, if he complains that CNN is too biased, well, they are! (Unless he means they’re too right-biased, in which case, keep working on him:-)
It’s my homepage. Yahoo is whatever you want it to be.
Heh. Mrs. Liberty and I have yet to stay at a hotel that has MSNBC. They just don't carry it...lol
Bump.
“Thankfully, I don’t have to worry about this at my family’s Christmas.”
You’re lucky. My group is small and, of them, my brother in law and sister are MSNBC’er/Maddow, Stewart, Colbert, Family Guy fans, my mother eschews political discussions (she views debate the same as an argument), and my not-so-significant other (less significant all the time) has turned out to be a science-entrenched lefty whose idols are John Lennon and JFK, Joseph Campbell, Einstein and other godless scientists and mathematicians.
My dad is my inspiration and kindred spirit - the kindest, best-read conservative (and Omaha Beach vet) I know. He’s 92 and I want him to live many, many more years.
“some Democrat pundit or politician made the statement that the reason Bush won was Fox News allowed the Republicans to get their message out.
How ironic and ignorant. My Bush-hater boyfriend often says he stole the election, but somehow he sat through most of Bret Baier’s (very good) special “36 Days that Decided the Presidency” last weekend. He had no comments, so I took some satisfaction thatfor once, he heard real details and facts, reported fairly.
Did you see it? Quite interesting - Carl Cameron even said on it that Karl Rove still blames him and Fox News for breaking GW’s DUI history and costing him a large middle-aged female vote.
Yes, libs are stupid in their stereotyping. And they’ll never understand how (or why) we also have certain criticisms of Bush as well as some of the players on FNC.
“the reason Bush won was Fox News allowed the Republicans to get their message out.
A good answer to that would be - well, somebody needed to, right?
It is true that the less informed the public is, the better the chances are for the Dems.
I travel a lot and always try to turn on Fox news at any locale I am in that has a public TV, like United Airlines Red Carpet club, or Marriott Concierge lounge, etc. I have had very few complaints when I have said: "Mind if I switch to Fox News?"
mrkd
That sounds about right considering it’s affectionately (as if) referred to as pMSNBC. Even Leftists have too much sense to watch some things.
I meant - MSNBC which features the literal screamers, i.e.
Schultz, Maddow, Matthews, Olbermann and others :-)
