Freshmen Iowa legislators Tom Shaw, Kim Pearson, and Glen Massie will reportedly be appearing on Steve Deace's radio show on WHO in Des Moines today to discuss the impeachment of the remaining four Iowa Supreme justices.
The show airs from 4-7 pm, and we think these new courageous legislators will be on at the beginning of the show.
If you live in Iowa, please go to www.grassrootsIOWA.com and sign the petition in support of the impeachment of these out-of-control judges! In 2010 WE RENDERED OUR VERDICT on the malfeasance of the seven "gay marriage" Iowa Supreme Court "justices" by removing three of them from office in the retention election.
In 2011 LET'S FINISH THE JOB through our duly-elected representatives, using the legitimate constitutional power of IMPEACHMENT!
Until we're rid of the Missouri Plan, this is not going to matter.
I predicted to a friend that you were going to say exactly that.
But you're wrong. They violated their oath of office and the constitution of our state. Legislators have a duty to deal with that no matter what the screwed up system for replacing them is.
For some reason, they're not worrying about replacing the Missouri Plan. It's not even on the radar screen.
It is going to matter.
You know a lot more legislators than I do. What are YOU doing to put it “on their radar screen”?
They are going to go for the marriage amendment and that is good but why don't they go for an amendment to change the method by which Iowa must choose the judges?
More liberal judges will just replace the ones being kicked off. I'd think someone would care about a long-term fix.
Malfeasance in office of this sort is a “real issue.” One that must be dealt with if we are to maintain republican constitutional self-government.
How we choose judges is a separate matter.
You would do well, IMO, to remember that lest you end up doing nothing but helping defend these out-of-control judicial despots and their enablers.
Impeach them too. Such a habit by the legislative branch is an absolutely essential part of any "long-term fix."
The Deace program starts in just a couple of minutes...
Looks like they have the new Secretary of State, Matt Schultz, first.
Why do you not care about getting rid of the Missouri Plan?
Why do you assume I don’t care?
Why do you act as if we can’t walk and chew gum at the same time?
We are just chasing our tails. There is a sad lack of interest in getting rid of the Missouri Plan and it makes one wonder if those that are protesting the loudest really have an interest in solving the problem or if they want the problem to continue as an issue.
WHO is reporting that the three Des Moines lawyers who sued to overturn the will of the people of Iowa in the judicial retention election in November have withdrawn their request for an injunction. They said they did so because the three judges who were removed did not support their effort.
Okay...Shaw, Massie, and Pearson should be coming on now.
Deace is a moron and I do not listen to him. Anyone who voted for Obama and even endorsed for governor someone who also voted for Obama, as well as Culver does not deserve respect.
Yeah, your views are well known.
They’re doing GREAT. Right on point.
And Deace isn’t even there. It’s Jen Green.
Don’t care. I won’t listen to his show. I heard a few minutes the other day and I heard Bryan English say that the Rod Roberts candidacy was the most over reported story of 2010 and I heard some RAT say that the most under reported story was global warming. That was enough for me to turn it off.
Jen, Kim, Tom, and Glen hit a grand slam.
