Why don't they worry about changing the method by which Iowa MUST choose the judges FIRST. THEN they can worry about this.

Until we're rid of the Missouri Plan, this is not going to matter. I predicted to a friend that you were going to say exactly that.
But you're wrong. They violated their oath of office and the constitution of our state. Legislators have a duty to deal with that no matter what the screwed up system for replacing them is.
