WASHINGTON (AP) -- Wal-Mart Stores Inc. recalled about 2.2 million electric heaters Thursday after receiving reports of burn injuries and property damage from fire.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the recall of "Flow Pro," "Airtech," "Aloha Breeze" and "Comfort Essentials" heaters sold at Walmart stores nationwide from December 2001 to October 2009

I’ve been using several ceramic heaters to provide heat for my house for over 10 years. They are safer than central heat and cheaper too.
I think you have too much belief in the sales pitch of the (more expensive) heater folks.
There’s no way that a closed liquid tank can manufacture btus.
It can only store btus that had to come from the resistance heat in the first place.
