I have no idea what the MPAA was thinking when they put their stamp of approval on the previews we saw. Sheesh. It seemed like my daughter's innocence was lost in the first 3 minutes of the preview.

It’s the MPAA ratings board, they’re notorious for being more afraid of sex than violence but also not getting innuendo at all. You can fill a movie with penis jokes but so long as nobody actually uses any of the normal slang words for penis you can get a PG. You can drop up to 4 f-bombs in a movie and get a PG13 so long as they’re only used as expletives not as references to fornication, but do it even once in reference to sex and you get an R. And that doesn’t even get into the “negotiation” process which leads to retarded things like 13 frames of a guy getting shot getting removed from Robocop to move it from X to R. By and large the MPAA ratings people don’t think, at all.
