The Bank Dick was a great one, but I liked the movie from a year earlier the best, “You Can't Cheat an Honest Man” where he plays Larson E. Whipsnade who runs a seedy circus which is perpetually in debt. Paring Fields up with Charlie McCarthy provided hilarious moments, even by today's standards of comedy. It's one of my 9-year old son's favorite and most watched movies.

‘The Bank Dick’ will always hold a special place in my heart. The night before my wedding day in 1982 one of my brothers and I stayed up and watched that WC Fields movie on late night TV.
