Seems a bit late? Does anyone really think that parenting classes for people who fail at parenting is like bringing a squirt bottle to a forest fire?
As long as this program is a ruse for neutering them, I have no problem with it.
Sure. But libs can assuage their guilt for allowing society to rot into an antiChristian moraless morass but feeling like they are “doing something”.
Now it’s all “not their fault”
Send them to prison with their miscreant children and we’ll be making progress.
Better yet, send the lot of them to Afghanistan to walk in front of our troop convoys to check for IEDs.
Cut to the chase and save us some money and procreate via a government run test tube facility.
This government intervention stuff is beyond the point of absurd and the more there is the more that is needed.
Are they by any chance also checking their immigration status?
Sadly, much gang activity is due to how we have institutionalized illegitimacy in our culture. Especially among poor girls, the whole “baby mama” culture has spread so that young people, especially young boys and men, are not raised properly. Too many grow up and get involved in gangs.
Of course, it’s politically incorrect to talk about any of this, so we’ll dance around the edges of the real problem and send parents to a class, after their kids have gotten in trouble.

Can’t be the kid’s fault. It has to be someone else responsibility, after all you can’t be responsible for yourself.

Post of the day.
In the last couple of weeks, I’ve been in a two different retail stores with two different mothers talking on the cell phone. In both cases, it was nothing but “f you” and “m f you” and then they scream at their kids. To me, that’s child abuse. I can’t imagine how horrible an upbringing these kids get. If you’re gonna give parenting lessons, you’ve got to do it when the mother first pops the kid out.
Nobody is working around the edges. It’s all about the money. The court mandates all kinds of crap, be it counseling, et,al. You pay the $200 per session, the receptionist signs your card, and you get to stay out of jail for another two weeks. People I’ve worked with have had similar programs mandated by courts for all kinds of stuff. In every case it was just a money scam with an office and a court order. No bagman anymore.
Wonderful. So the next three children will merely grow up to be petty criminals...
And if one of every two males is part of a gang in LA, then why not just mandate all parents take parenting classes?

It’s too late by then. I informed many a parent early on that their son or daughter was already involved in gangs. most didn’t believe it. Some of the parents are former or active gang members themselves. I’ll never forget one case where the mother’s gang had a green light on her son’s gang. Unbelievable.
