Global. Warming. Is. Not. For. Wimps.
IS Al Gore in town?
Raining here in southern Militiagan tonight.
It’s been raining pitchforks and naked babies here for days, and all of it is heading East into all of that cold air.
I heard right before Thanksgiving that the Teton Mountains already had 100 inches of base snowfall. This will be a good winter for recharging a whole bunch of watersheds.
Here in central Wisconsin we have a proper blizzard taking place.
Still rain in the Milwaukee WI area. Snow to start @ midnight, blizzard
Winds toward daylight.
It’s deadly outside here in Iowa tonight. One of the wickedest blizzards we’ve seen in awhile.

Folks, it's called "winter"!!!!
We're pretty much used to it! I've got a fire in the fireplace, a "Tom and Gerry" in my hand, "It's a Wonderful Life" on the TV, and alls right with the world.
I'll dig out tomorrow and snowshoe over to Pickens to pick up a Sunday paper.
Gotta love it!
In Iowa - it’s Snowmageddon. And the media is having a stormgasm.
One county in Central Iowa says if you go out and get stuck, you’re there until sometime Sunday - you’re on your own.
Being out in weather like this is shear idiocy. There is nothing worth getting stuck in a drift and freezing to death for.
I don’t care. Snow tires are on the car, wood is stacked high, coals in the fireplace are glowing nicely and a beer is on the table in front of me.
Bring it on.
“
Huge snowstorm, arctic chill hit Midwest
“
“D-MN This Global Warming and all the pain and suffering it causes!”
(My feeble paraphrase about war from an actor...maybe Charleton Heston?)
This winter looks like it has the chance of shaping up like those tough
years of (IIRC) 1978 and 1979 in Oklahoma.
The real question is...
where are Al Gore and East Anglia global warming professors?
(Sound of crickets!)
We went to the store today to get ready for it. It’s just cold rain here right now but it will be changing to snow and high winds by morning.
Bummer...
It was 77 degrees today in Southern California, gentle on-shore Pacific breeze, sunny, clear, not a cloud...
Orange trees are so loaded, we gave two bags away to the neighbors down the road...
Not bad in western ND tonight. We got our 17 inches of snow yeaterday. I must be getting old, cause I finally bought a snow thrower.
