Yeah Gilmour fell into the cat bird seat when poor Syd fell apart. His step son is an idiot and I am sure Gilmour is not happy with the brat.
I saw an interview with David Bowie about how he was a huge fan of Syd. Poor Syd going bonkers was exactly what Bowie’s sinking career needed. He ripped off a lot of Syd’s style.
Syd’s songs like Arnold Layne, See Emily Play were so far ahead of anything. Even Rick Wright’s Paint Box was great. Roger wanted to be in charge after Syd was gone. I think being a member of Pink Floyd must have been fairly miserable working with Roger Waters.
All these later and before Rick Wright died, Waters talked about getting back together. Gilmour pretty much threw cold water on that idea.
Richard Wright was a very understated, very powerful player as well. They all were. That's why they could gross a half a billion dollars on a tour - and that's the other thing -- Waters really understands show business.

His step father made tens of millions with Waters going over WW2 endlessly. This was due to Waters father dying in WW2 at Anzio when Roger was a baby. And Gilmours’s idiot step son did not know. The Cenotaph is among the most famous things in London and their is a ceremony there every year.

Good. Bryan Ferry (Roxy Music) who did a solo record with Gilmour - his son was arrested for storming Parliment. Young Otis Ferry supported the Countryside Alliance which is sort of like the Tea Party. Otis went to jail for it.
In fact, they held the largest march on London in history like the march the Tea Party had on DC. They made sure to literally count every one and I think a million people marched into London.
