Watched it and just remembered her father was carrying it (using the rifle as a walking stick sometimes...not good) and he took a pretty bad fall at one point with it. If I had to guess, that's when the scope got knocked out of alignment.

Yea, your probably right about that. I’d have never thought about the fall knocking the sight off.
