"I also wonder why...making the huge and unsupportable leap of faith that Ozzie was the "lone gunman"...the "lone gunman - as the alleged assassin - didn't take the fatal shot at the president when the motorcade was coming directly toward him and his window or turned immediately below him. Why did he wait until his target was receding away from him? Just a dumb assassin?? Not a pro??? Or not the assassin at all?"

Shooting as he came down Main would have been the tempting target, BUT if you want to get away you want people concentrating at the site of the event, not directly in front of you.

And 'just for the record', not one piece of physical, tangible evidence has pointed to a gunman from the Grassy Knoll. Not a fragment of a bullet, not a physical sighting as was done with Oswald previous to and at the time of the shooting.

It was a lot closer shot from behind the fence.

I am not sure if they even made the attempt. Do you have any links that it was attempted?

Did you watch the link?

It reminds me of that assbag Jack Coughlin, who wrote the book, ‘Shooter: The Autobiography of the Top-Ranked Marine Sniper’. The guy was a Marine but was never a sniper. Marines at Scout Sniper Basic School routinely make fun of the guy. “I’m the thirty-fourth ranked sniper.” “Aww.. I’m only ranked at number forty-two.” “I’m ranked number twenty, but the rankers might move me up to nineteen real soon!” Etc.

I can promise you that there are more dirty politicians per ca-pita, then there are overall that served in the US miliatary.

Oh yeah Ventura just being a jerk.... Keep drinking that government Kool-Aid. That is also why all the information will not be released until 2025. That’s because the Government told you the truth and nothing but the truth! LOL!

"... So his shooting skills went down after boot camp and not up. If he unked, then that means he is bad shot. Just like I said earlier."

Well, not really.

Oswald's score did go down, but he wasn't a bad shot. He just became a completely demotivated Marine. This is what his former squadbay members said about him, not that he was a bad shot.

One of the reasons that a Marine qualifies lower than their basic training marksmanship score is because the field quals out in the fleet aren't always up to the standards as the rigid qualification process in boot camp: I've gone out on windy afternoons to qual, rather than still mornings, and we just lined up in our standard gear and didn't have USMC shooting jackets and heavy gloves, and so forth. Plus, in boot camp there's a week of practice snapping-in on simulated targets to encourage shooting discipline. Not to mention that the whole basic training process is overseen by shooting coaches. Out in the fleet, some Marines are just brought out to the range in trucks, and everyone jumps down and goes straight to the line without any practice. Overwhelmingly, most Marines don't re-qualify as well as they did initially in USMC basic training.

Even as an unmotivated shooter who went 'Unk' out in the Fleet, Oswald had already demonstrated that he qualified as a thoroughly capable rifleman on two occasions previously. I'm sure that Oswald was highly motivated on the day that he murdered President Kennedy.

I read Oswald's whole USMC scorebook. Anyone else here know how to read one?

Yep, thoroughly capable shooter. He even did really well on the 300 yard Rapid Fire course on the 'Dog' target.

Considering he killed Kennedy at shots between 44 and 88 yards, the shooting he did on the day he murdered the President was a cinch.

He did not use the same rifle that he used in the Marines. The Marines give you more time than 6 seconds to shoot off 3 rounds.

The problem with that rifle is that you get off target when you have to put another round in the chamber. No way he did that in 6 seconds.

Have you ever stood at the window? No? Then shut up.

“No way he did that in 6 seconds.”

Plenty of people have duplicated the shots. To say “no way” is to show complete ignorance of shooting. I have personally duplicated the shots. It is easy. Only a non-shooter would make the claims you make.

Here's what is a likely scenario, and keep in mind that this is how I perceive the event and what the evidence shows. It also includes a possible solution to why the scope was so far off even for the Warren Comission marksmen.

Oswald fires the first shot using the scope attached. It misses due to being dropped in the bushes after taking a shot at Gen. Edwin Walker previously. James Teague is caught by shrapnel from this round at the overpass. We can identify this shot from Zapruder Frame 194 and 195. Zapruder had vertigo, and his secretary had to support him. The camera shakes at the sound of gunshots. Also look at the little girl in the upper right. In previous frames she is running but stops to look at the TSBD. Following frames show Kennedy reacting in the car as it goes behind the sign.
Frame 194
Oswald works the bolt again realizing the scope has failed, but it is side mounted and the iron sights are available. He lines up on the base of Kennedy's head and fires. He sees the round strike at the neck to the right. He doesn't realize that Connaly has also been hit, his concentration is on Kennedy. This shot, at frame 225, bears this out. Look at Connalys shirt and the difference between Frames 224 and 225. Also notice that Kennedy and Connaly react to that hit.
Frame 224
He works the bolt again. Due to the slope of Elm at this point, Kennedy is almost in a straight line with the vehicle going slightly downhill. It is a straight shot with little perceivable movement except the target getting smaller. Oswald settles in and fires again striking Kennedy in the right portion of the head.
Frame 313

And all that in 6.5 seconds.

Now the two critical points here are, the failure of the scope, and the two remaining hits to the right of target. Check his scorebook. Oswald was fully capable.
Oswald Scorebook, Warren Commison CE239

ANY competitive shooter, be it rifle or pistol will tell you 6.5 seconds is a long time for just 3 shots. As a former IPSC competitor, 6 seconds is an enormous amount of time for 3 shots.

Oswald from the TSBD with 3 shots.

Really??? For your information I was a repeat Expert Shooter in the Marines. LOL! The Warren Commission could not even do it. I guess you are not interested in the facts.
