I want to come to your house for New Year’s!
I am not a sauerkraut fan though I’d probably like yours..I am well stocked up, too. It won’t freeze again til Sunday.

At least I got to have a fire in the fireplace yesterday..It was a pretty scene in my living room, dining room for a rainy day.
I won’t take down decorations until New Year’s..
My red tulips did not last long enough for my son and DIL’s visit..but I will get them again next year..They looked so festive at Christmas.

Meg, I’m not a sauerkraut fan either, but it is a MUST for New Year’s Day. I put it in a collander, and rinse it well, then apply it to the top of the ribs after they are thoroughly cooked, basting the top with the drippings from the pan. Let it brown about 15 minutes on the very tops of the kraut - and it’s ready to serve.

Grandma always put the kraut on the mashed potatoes, but I like it with the pork, and put butter on the taters.
