No ..He never did it again on the skirt....He did “water” my husband’s open and packed suitcase once. Now he was in real danger of never living another moment then..but he escaped again.

Luckily we had extras clean for my husband’s trip..Whew!

Sassy was neutered so it wasn’t so bad..Those are the only marking episodes I recall..They “mark” their territory! Unneutered ones are awful!
I have 3 fixed females now and they don’t do that..thankfully.
My daughter has one neutered male who marks a lot! Has him on trnquilizers.

We had one female years ago that 'watered' the Christmas Tree and a few other places. Took her to the vet and he found Proteinuria.

A change of diet did the trick but she wasn't crazy about fish so it made it interesting...lol.

The children were lined up in the cafeteria of a Catholic elementary school for lunch. At the head of the table was a large pile of apples. The nun made a note, and posted on the apple tray:

‘Take only ONE . God is watching.’

Moving further along the lunch line, at the other end of the table was a large pile of chocolate chip cookies.

A child had written a note, ‘Take all you want. God is watching the apples.’

The Legend Of The Holly

The news of Christ’s birth soon spread throughout the land. King Herod had heard of the glorious event and, feeling threatened by this new King of Kings, had sent his soldiers in pursuit of Him. Joseph gathered together his little family and fled from Bethlehem .

As they were traveling down an old dirt road, Mary heard the sound of the soldiers behind them. Knowing that they would be searching for a man and woman with a baby, she decided to hide her child until the soldiers had passed.

Looking quickly around, Mary felt her heart sink within her. There was nothing nearby but a bare little holly bush. Every second, the hooves of the soldier’s horses thundered nearer and nearer. In desperation, she placed her precious child beneath the bush and prayed.

But then, a wondrous thing happened. The scraggly little plant burst forth with a crown of glistening, thorny leaves. The spikey leaved bush formed a roof over the baby, hiding him completely. When the soldiers rode by, they saw only the couple who appeared to be childless and continued on their way, leaving the Christ Child in safety and peace.

It was then that the Babe blessed the holly so that it would always remain green ... a symbol of hope and immortality to all. And the berries the holly bore would always be blood red. For of all the plants that grow, the holly alone, for one brief moment, had held the Christ Child in its heart.

Thanks for that Bing Crosby link. It brings back family connections to Bing and Bob (Bing’s brother) Crosby.

Bob was a high school classmate to my mom and her sisters. Gonzaga University in Spokane, WA, has a library named the Bing Crosby Library.

Bing also had a summer residence in nearby Hayden Lake, Idaho.

Bing was born in Tacoma, WA, but the Crosby family move to Spokane, WA, where Bing and Bob attended school.

Way back in the sixties when I was in high school, I was a member of stage crew. It was common practice to paint names of the class stage crew guys on the walls in the backstage areas of the auditorium. Bob Crosby’s name was one listed from back in the ‘20’s. The original high school was demolished and replaced with a new building in the late 20th century. However, I have memories locked in my aging memory of seeing Bob Crosby’s name listed on the wall in the upper stage area of the auditorium. My brother and I also had our names painted in that area from the sixties era.

I’m old enough to remember a daily television show back in the 50’s or 60’s that was telecast mid-day in Spokane. It was the Bob Crosby and the Bobcats performing every day.

This completes reflections of an old guy who loves listening to both Bob and Big Crosby.

Merry Christmas!

Thank you for the Christmas holiday presentation here at Amy’s Place.

Had a great experience this morning at church with a drama/music presentation along with a message from the pastor as we fast approach Christmas Day.

May our Lord bring a closeness of fellow Christians and family together during this holiday season.

Merry Christmas to one and all at Amy’s Place!

Late night Sunday and it’s not raining. PTL!

I’m a sunshine and warm temp guy. It’s really putting a strain an my abilities to tone up my suntan. The sun can’t break through the sweat shirt and sweat pants.

In the meantime, I’ll just hang loose and wait for sunshine and warm temps.

Significant Surrender
December 20, 2010

Throughout history, Mary the mother of Jesus has been held in high esteem. And rightly so! She was singled out by God to deliver the long-awaited Messiah.

But before we get lost in the significance of her life, let’s take a look at what it meant for her to surrender to the assignment. Living in a small backwater Galilean village where everyone knew everyone else’s business, she would have to live with the perceived shame of her premarital pregnancy. Explaining to her mother the visits of the angel and the Holy Spirit probably didn’t calm things down. To say nothing of the devastating interruption that her pregnancy would bring to her plans to marry Joseph. And while we are thinking about Joseph, what would she tell him? Would he believe her?

In light of these personal ramifications, her response to the angel who told her the news about her role as Jesus’ mother is amazing: “Behold, I am the servant of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word” (Luke 1:38 ESV). Her words remind us that a life of significance is most often preceded by a heart eager to surrender to God’s will regardless of the cost.

What significant experience does God have in store for you? It starts with surrender to Him.

What shall I give You, Master?
You have redeemed my soul;
My gift is small but it is my all—
Surrendered to Your control. —Grimes

Surrender to God precedes His significant work in your life.

Read: Luke 1:26-38

Humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time. —1 Peter 5:6
Bible in a year:
Micah 1-3; Revelation 11

Then I am doubly glad I chose that version from You Tube. It brings back memories of watching both great men on TV. We don’t have men or women of their quality to watch any more.

But I also gained a history lesson, I did not know they were brothers, they look so totally different.
