When their airline filed for bankruptcy in August, a few dedicated stewardesses did what no highly-paid executive would do: stripped down to raise some dough.
Ten stewardesses with Mexicana Airlines debuted their sexy, aviation-themed calendar on Thursday, which feature the flight attendants in bikinis or scantily-altered versions of their former uniform.
The women even shelled out nearly $8,000 of their own money to help cover the production costs.
"The goal was to try to help ourselves because we lost everything overnight," said Maribel Zavala, who posed for the calendar.
The calendar flew off the shelves, selling out 1,000 copies at $12 a pop before the official launch. Mexicana Airlines, which has debts totaling about $800 million, shut down all flights at the end of August, leaving passengers stranded and confused about the fate of one of the worlds oldest airlines.

In order to fully evaluate this information I must see the pictures in the calendar. There is a picture at the link but it only made me wish to see more, ah, evidence.
It was removed, perhaps a copyright issue. There is a photo on Google images from USA Today.
They haven’t missed many in-flight meals.
